This bookโ€™s plot is slower paced, but the concept is intriguing. I found myself completely drawn in needing to know what happens next, how the world truly worked, and untangle all the lies to find the truth. If youโ€™re a fan of Divergent, this book has similar vibes of breaking free from a system built on government control and the un-individuality of the Abnegation faction.

The intriguing story concept. The authors give just enough to keep you hooked.

โฅ The mind-to-mind communication! Iโ€™ve always loved this trope, and this one has such a unique spin.

The attachment I developed for the side characters. Their loyalty and courage to stand up and help the main female character defeat the real monsters. I was holding my breath beggingโ€ฆplease, donโ€™t kill them!

At times the romance felt a little rushed, and some of the spicy banter content from the main male character came before the romantic connection was at the appropriate level.

Yes, it ended on the most spectacular cliffhanger, and I need to know what happens next!

โš ๏ธ This book does contain some dark elements so make sure to read the trigger warnings.
