This book is such a cute twist on the classic “damsel trapped in a tower” trope and the journey of discovering inner strength and courage. I always love stories that highlight female empowerment, and this one did it in such a fun, charming way.

❥ This was the grumpiest male character I have ever read, and I loved it!

❥ The bookwyrm had so much personality and depth, especially as the story progressed. By the end, you really see his own journey of opening up to life and the people around him.

❥ I loved the side characters, especially the brothers! I’m already excited to see what love stories they’ll have in the upcoming books.

❥ I would have liked to have a little more tension earlier in the book.

❥ I found the intimate scene where he jacks off a little cringy.

❥ The intimacy scenes were anticlimactic and confusing.
