❥ Emmett perfectly embodies the dark, brooding, tortured, and misunderstood male lead.

❥ Although the characters were well written, I did have a hard time connecting with them on an emotional level.

❥ The characters were supposed to be 18, yet they sometimes felt both younger and older, which left me unsure of how to interpret them at times.
