𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 & 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
Imagine a female Scarlet Pimpernel but with a supernatural twist of witches and witch hunters. I devoured every page of these books like I was starved. I couldn't sleep until I finished, I just needed to know what happened!
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙:
❥ This story is packed with incredible, well-developed characters who truly surprised me at every turn. In particular her horse companion lady was an absolute gem. I know she's not a human character, but she is the perfect sidekick for a witch running a witch-rescuing operation.
❥ The author took me on an emotional rollercoaster, passion, love, fury, heartbreak, loss… even a touch of murderous rage. I felt everything.
❥ I loved the constant battle between the two main characters. I never knew what to expect or when it would twist me in a different direction. And the sizzling chemistry was so delightful to read!
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:
❥ I wish the intimate scenes had a little more detail. They felt a bit too vague for the emotional buildup they deserved.
❥ Some clarity around the characters’ ages would’ve helped. Marketed as YA, but the tone and maturity of the characters felt more early-to-mid twenties.
𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬?
Yes. I completed it.
