𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 & 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
I enjoyed the overall story. Lots of dark vibes, forbidden powers, forbidden attraction, angst, and tension. I do feel like the story could've been better with more developed side characters and a couple unexpected plot twists. Something to make me gasp!
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙:
❥ The heroine chose not to sacrifice herself for the world. She chose to live and fight for it. I don't like martyrs.
❥ The descriptions and world-building are beautiful and detailed but not overdone.
❥ It does not end on a cliffhanger but leaves the story open to lead you into the next book.
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:
❥ I'm not a big fan of why-choose romances. The main female character in this book just goes with it like it’s the natural and expected thing. I am more of a one guy kind of girl.
❥ It felt a little predictable. I would've liked more non-traditional tropes and content. I like to be surprised occasionally with unexpected plot twists.
𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬?
No, book one didn't hook me.

❥ Love Triangle/Why Choose
❥ Court Intrigue
❥ Death Magic
❥ Hidden Identity
❥ Dark Fantasy
