By the time I reached 20%, I had completely forgotten I was reading. With the dark enchanting gothic atmosphere, dreamy Alice-in-Wonderland oddities, and warm tea-in-a-library coziness, this book gave me such a wonderfully unique experience. I never knew what to expect next, and I loved that.

β₯ Alora's magical ability is my new favorite, and I loved her beautiful dresses. This is a world I would love to experience!!
β₯ The little easter eggs scattered throughout felt like finding secret doors in an old, enchanted house. When they finally clicked, it was pure delight and I definitely squealed!
β₯ The main male character is everything I adore in a fantasy hero...mysterious, protective, dangerous, and charming. Yes, I swooned, hard!
β₯ The side characters added so much warmth and dimension to the story. I adored them!

β₯ There were a few scenes between the main male character and main female character that ended way too soon. I found myself craving more.
β₯ There were some lines where I wasnβt totally sure what the author meant, but it didnβt take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.
