𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 & 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
It took me a bit to really sink into this book, but I’m so glad I stuck with it. The story kept me guessing with unpredictable twists and I genuinely had no idea where the author was taking me, which was such a refreshing change. I read a lot of books where I can predict the ending early on, so this was a welcome surprise.
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙:
❥ The side characters absolutely stole my heart. Each book is a standalone romance but builds on cast with each book. Now I’m dying to go back and read book one to see where it all began. I also can't wait to read book three with Nox. He is a character I need more of.
❥ Thorne the main male character is swoon-worthy. Protective and caring, with great banter. Clarissa the female lead is a total badass, a fierce fighter yet loving and gentle.
❥ The magic system is super unique and fascinating, weaving together all sorts of powers into a clan-based structure. I can’t wait to see how each type of magic evolves as the series continues.
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:
❥ I didn’t love how quickly the main characters voiced their attraction for each-other. Even though they couldn’t be together, the tension deflated far too soon for my taste. I prefer it to simmer until the final 10–15% of the book. #slowburn
❥ Galen’s character left me conflicted. Without spoiling anything, wow. I was completely shocked by how his storyline played out and honestly feel like he deserved better. If you’ve read it, DM me because I’m still reeling.
𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬?
Probably.
