Lucien stood at the foot of the bed, his presence crackling with barely restrained fury. Shadows curled around him like living things, shifting and twisting, responding to the storm raging beneath his skin.

His golden eyes burned as they locked onto the specter, who now hovered near the far wall, her gnarled fingers still reaching for me as she gurgled and hissed. "Get away from her." Lucien growled, his

voice low, dangerous.

𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 & 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:

I don’t usually reach for horror, but the moment I saw this book I had to read it, and I’m so glad I did. It was absolutely incredible, giving off total Pantasma vibes. I honestly can’t believe this book isn’t more popular, it deserves all the hype. I’ll definitely be re-reading it during spooky season this fall!

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙:

❥ Lucian was delicious and I couldn’t get enough of his teasing, and bantery attitude.

❥ The tension? Toe-curling. I squealed more than once, not even ashamed.

❥ The villain was a full-blown psycho, honestly unsettling. I never knew what was coming next, and I loved that.

❥ The book itself is gorgeous. Beautiful hand drawn art and a gothic vibe that pulls you in. Needless to say, it has taken a special place in my library!

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:

❥ Lucian was constantly saving Mia. Don’t get me wrong I live for a good hero moment, but I wish she’d had more chances to save herself too.

❥ I would've liked more ghost moments. A bit more development for the other spirits would’ve really rounded out the cast.
