This book gives me Divergent feels but better. I loved Divergent and reading a more epic and spicy version was incredible. I was completely lost in this world of survival, magic, shadows, dragons and spice.

I didn’t think it was possible to have a new favorite book after my last read but bookstagram has done it again. I waited to read this book until now so I could binge Fourth Wing and Iron Flame together. It was incredible and I can’t wait to start Iron Flame. Can UPS hurry up already!!!

Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College, Violet included. But somehow, she makes it through each day and each challenge. Iron Flame follows Violet and her squad into her second year scattered with betrayal, love, spice, vengeance, and a whole horde of unexpected twists and turns.

I am loving this series so much! The wide range of well-developed characters are amazing! I have many favorite characters and ones I absolutely hate (if you have read this book, you know who I mean).

There are mixed reviews about this book. I do agree that it is a bit long and could have been shorter, but I still devoured every page. While reading I never experienced a time where I was bored or didn’t want to continue. If you do struggle with long books the audiobook is a great option. I am so excited for book three and I don’t know how I am going to wait a whole year!

The world the author has created is amazing. So incredibly detailed and unique. Lovable characters and in-depth world building. I loved book one in this series so much and so far books two and three felt very similar except for side character development.

❥ I loved the relationship that between Ridoc and his dragon Aotrom. So freaking cute!!

❥ I might be falling in love with Garrick. Can we please have more of him?

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:

❥ Unpopular opinion; is anyone else getting a little tired of Violet and Xaden? I felt no emotion toward Xaden in this book, he felt emotionless. I was obsessed with him in book one and most of two but he felt so different in book three.

❥ WTF was with the last couple chapters? They were so confusing and felt rushed and not thought through. So disappointing!

Maybe - I was a bit disappointed with book three so it will depend on how I am feeling when book four is released.
