I devoured this book in a day. The timing couldn’t have been better, it was raining here in Delaware, which set the perfect atmosphere for this moody, small-town mystery. An easy read but does have some heavier themes.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙:

❥ The rainy West Coast small-town setting gave the whole book a cozy yet haunting feeling.

❥ The main male character was broody, protective, and so freaking in love with her. I was swooning.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:

❥ The hints of an inappropriate relationship between an adult mentor and an 18-year-old girl. I get why it was included for the story’s sake, but it still felt icky to read.
