This book felt like Divergent and Fourth Wing had a baby, minus the dragons, and I loved every second of it. It brought me right back to the nostalgic, all-consuming obsession of my Divergent era. Add in some sizzling banter, and I was in reader heaven.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙:

❥ The main male character is the perfect blend of Four and Zaden, broody, intense, and impossible not to fall for.

❥ I felt everything while reading this book. Heartbreak, love, passion, murderous feelings, and I definitely wanted to punch/stab a few characters.

❥ I fell for the characters fast. Normally it takes me a while to get attached, but these characters had me emotionally invested almost immediately.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚:

❥ I’ll be honest, I nearly gave up around chapter 18. The main male character hadn’t appeared yet, and the plot felt aimless. But I’m so glad I kept going, because once it found its rhythm, it was absolutely worth the wait. I only wish it hadn't taken so long to get there.
